Argwings Kodhek Rd meets Ngong Road at the Hurlingham junction, which puts SkinByDrNancy right on the doorstep of the whole Ngong Road corridor – Adams Arcade, Dagoretti Corner, Kilimani’s Ngong Road side, Jamhuri, Woodley and the offices and estates strung along the route. We are a minute or two off Ngong Road itself, at Landmark Plaza, 2nd Floor.
For the tens of thousands of people who commute along Ngong Road every day, that makes a proper dermatology appointment genuinely convenient – in before work, or on the way home, without a detour across town.
Built around the Ngong Road commute
- Open from 7:00am on weekdays – be seen by a dermatologist before the Ngong Road traffic builds and before your first meeting.
- Saturday mornings from 7:00am to 12:00pm for anyone who cannot get away midweek.
- Walk-ins welcome whenever the diary allows – useful when you are already passing.
- One clinic, one answer – biopsies, cryotherapy, electrocautery, peels and injections are all done in-house, so most problems do not need a second trip.
- Insurance friendly – most major schemes, plus cash, card and M-Pesa.
What the Ngong Road corridor comes in for
Acne and the marks it leaves
Teenage, adult and hormonal acne, plus the dark spots and scars that follow – treated with prescription therapy and, where needed, peels and microneedling. See acne treatment.
Rashes that will not clear
Ringworm, tinea, eczema and contact dermatitis – often after a run of combination creams from the many chemists along Ngong Road. A skin scraping settles what it actually is. See skin infections and eczema treatment.
Pigmentation and hair loss
Melasma and uneven tone treated safely on melanin-rich skin; traction alopecia and thinning diagnosed before treatment. See pigmentation treatment and hair loss treatment.
Skin checks and minor procedures
Mole checks, biopsies and removal of skin tags, warts and moles, usually at the same visit.
Affordable, doctor-led dermatology
The clinic was built on a simple idea – that good dermatology should be affordable and delivered by a doctor who takes the time to explain what is happening to your skin. Fees are quoted before you come in, and treatment plans are built around what you can realistically sustain. For the Ngong Road corridor, a single visit that reaches the right diagnosis almost always works out cheaper than months of chemist creams that do not.

Can I be seen before work?
Yes – we open at 7:00am Monday to Friday, before the Ngong Road traffic builds. Saturday mornings run 7:00am to 12:00pm.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, whenever the diary allows – handy if you are already passing on Ngong Road. Calling ahead on 0728 566990 gives you the best chance of a quick slot.
How much is a consultation?
Fees depend on whether it is a consultation, a procedure or a review, and on whether you are using insurance. Reception quotes you before you attend – call 0728 566990.
I have used several creams from the chemist with no luck – what now?
That is one of the most common stories we hear. Stop adding creams and get a diagnosis; often a quick scraping or examination reveals the treatment has simply been wrong. See skin infections.
Do you accept insurance and M-Pesa?
Yes – most major medical insurance schemes, plus cash, card and M-Pesa.

What actually happens in a first consultation
A lot of people along the Ngong Road corridor put off seeing a dermatologist because they are not sure what they are paying for. It is worth setting out plainly, because the uncertainty costs more than the appointment does.
A first visit is mostly conversation and examination:
- History. When it started, what it looked like at the beginning, what you have used, what helped and what made it angrier. This is where most diagnoses are actually made.
- Examination in proper light. Often more of the skin than the part you came about, because rashes tell you where else to look. A dermoscope is used for moles and for scalp and hair problems.
- A quick test if it will settle the question. A skin scraping for a suspected fungal infection takes about two minutes and changes the treatment completely when it comes back positive.
- An explanation you can repeat to someone else. What it is, why you have it, what the treatment does and how long before you should expect a change.
- A written plan, including what to do if it flares and when to come back.
Where a minor procedure is needed and there is time, it is often done at that same visit rather than booked for another day.
Reception will quote the fee before you attend – call 0728 566990. It is worth comparing that figure against what you have already spent on creams that did not work, because for most people the arithmetic is not close.
